My name is Alina and I am a 15 year old high school student living in New Zealand. At school, I am currently taking Chemistry, Physics, Classical Studies, French, English with Writing, and Calculus. In college, I am aiming to study Chemical Engineering or Medicine. 

I would like to study Chemical Engineering because I have always been very interested in Chemistry and would like to continue learning information about this subject in a deeper context and apply it to help people in real-life situations. For instance: how Chemical Engineering can be used in manufacturing processes such as converting raw materials into useful products. I would like to study Medicine because I would be able to make a real difference to people’s lives by helping to alleviate their pain. It is also a rewarding and meaningful profession which would enable me to use my communication and problem-solving skills to resolve issues. 

Through the use of this blog, I hope to spread more knowledge, understanding and acceptance about topics and issues that are part of Chemical Engineering and Medicine.
